Prof. Barchiesi was one of the conference chair and speaker at the MIMS25
Prof. Emilio Barchiesi was one of the chairman of the 2025 International Workshop on Multiscale Innovative Materials and Structures (MIMS25), held between October 29th and November 1st, 2025 in Cetara (Amalfi Coast), Salerno, Italy.
The other conference chair were Prof. Fernando Fraternali and Prof. Ada Amendola (Department of Civil Engineerign, University of Salerno, Italy) and Prof. Anthony D. Rosato (Department of Mechanical Engineering, New Jersey Institute of Technology, USA).
Prof. Barchiesi also presented his talk entitled “Solitary wave propagation in monolayered pantographic waveguides”.
The main topics of the international workshop were: multiscale mechanics; mechanical and acoustic metamaterials; seismic metamaterials; waves in discrete and continuous systems, architectured materials and sustainable composites; granular materials and systems; smart materials and structures; and microstructure engineering.
